When it comes to weight loss, most of us pay a lot of attention to the results that celebrity fitness trainers get from their clients – and for good reason. Celebrities are paid to look good, and if it’s working for them, it surely could work for us, too, right? This is particularly true since many of these celebrities have the budget to hire whomever will give them the best results, so it’s not a matter of just hiring anyone to do the job. One such trainer is Jeanette Jenkins, who happens to offer some fantastic celebrity weight loss tips in her 21 day workout plan for healthy living that can work for everyday people too – people just like you and me.
As the founder and president of The Hollywood TrainerTM, Jeannette Jenkins has not only caught the attention of celebrities, but has also been an advisory board member of Fitness magazine for several years. The following are some of the tips and tricks Jeanette Jenkins uses to keep her celebrity clients on track toward their weight loss and fitness goals:
1. Use a metabolic calculator
In order to travel down the road to success, you really have to know how fast, or how slow, the traffic is moving, right? You need to know what your Basal Metabolic Rate (or BMR, the rate at which your body burns calories when doing absolutely nothing except breathing) is so you know what kind of calorie deficit your are taking in, and what kind of results you can expect.
2. Exercise is a must
A large part of Ms. Jenkins program is the implementation of regular exercise. All of what she recommends is low-impact and includes a combination of both cardiovascular and circuit training activities, which includes interval-style exercise routines.
3. Keep your psychological approach to weight loss in check
For anyone who wants to lose weight, you have to include the psychological aspect of weight loss. The right mindset can lead to exponentially increase your odds of success, so she recommends a self-evaluation to help you connect your mind, body, and spirit.
4. Avoid processed foods
Processed foods interfere with the natural balance of your body. Transfats and saturated fats are just plain horrible for you, and Jeanette Jenkins’ plan for weight loss includes creating a weight loss meal plan in advance – which features a balance of protein, fiber, and healthy fats and carbs for optimal body function.
5. Drink plenty of water
With every meal and every snack, you need to drink at least 500ml (about 8 oz.) of water. Water fills you up and keeps you hydrated to you can keep your weight loss goals on track.
Jeanette Jenkins is so successful because she takes the basics and breaks them down into a concept that everyone can understand. If you are looking for a holistic approach to weight loss that has celebrities everywhere praising the results they have achieved, you might want to give her program a try. Of course, many of the celebrity fitness trainers use some of the same methods, it’s just a matter of choosing what’s going to motivate you best.
